Bought a 930 CK recently overhauled. Don't know what kind of engine oil is in it. Would Rotella 15-40 be good to use?

I use Case No-1 30W Engine oil. In Every tractor Ive got on the farm (411b, 1494, 930Ck, 970AK, an 1070AG). I allso have a 1989 Chevy Truck with a diesel engine that sucked oil way to fast, so I swithched to the No-1 Engine Oil an its oil consumption dropped, nearly in half. Nothing Coats an engine like NO-1.

In my honest oppinion their isnt a better oil out there then No-1.

Case and IH always reccomended straight weights (NOT 15/40)in the pre Magnum dsl's, to prevent cam wear. Been told this is not as big of issue as it used to be due to improvements in oil. Rotella is popular in otr trucks but is not the best choice for farm tractors. I use Case NO.1 30w in summer in my field tractors. This info is from a reputable oil distributor.
