I bought Rich holdens 411b case tractor, besides trying to figure out the why the govenor over revs the engin I found hydraulic oil in the bell housing, it was getting into the starter through the starter hole. I hope where this is a cas o matic that maybe this could be fixed without breaking the tractor down at the bell housing. And maybe because it sat for some time some seals or something were dry and will moisten up and start working again, doughtfull though. can anyone help with the diagnoses or insights on the matter. Thanks Travis

hi travis. the oil is supposed to be in the housing but knot inside of the starter. the started is sealed to keep the oil out unless your's isn't or it is the wrong starter. the starter should have a gasket at the hole to keep it inside. the bell housing is part of the torque tube and that holds the oil for the hydraulics and the COM which is a large torque converter. the COM clutch is made to run in oil. hope this helps. charley.
