I dont know if anyone posted anything on this, I just thought to tonight. On April 22, O'meal Tractor in E. Palmyra, NY auctioned off the contents of their business (which had been going since I believe 1918, there was ALOT of stuff) There werent many Case parts left but they had several pallets of manuals, a few parts tractors and their Case signs off the building. (along with many other old signs) The building was right out of the 40's, you could almost picture the bustling dealership that they were years ago...Back in the day they sold Case, later White, Homelite, Gehl, Mobil oil, Bowes, Polaris, Artic Cat, New Idea, RCA, Goodyear farm tires and Im sure other stuff too. All out of a little country building that you could hardly fit 3 tractors in the shop. The old time parts counter and shelves (made from WW2 ammo crates) were still there and they were even still using a 1950s vintage Pepsi cooler. There wasnt a modern piece of equipment in the shop. (They still had a mag tester and blacksmith tools!) The auction was full of history, and Im glad I got to attend. I was able to get a rusty, faded Case Farm Machinery sign with the faded "J J Omeal" stenciled on it that hung on the front of the building. Now it proudly hangs in my shop. I guess time marches on...
