Last week while planting my uncle noticed our 1070 only wants to move when clutch is at the top of its travel. Also the tractor struggles to lift the planter at the end of each row until he pushed the clutch in. Then it will lift it fine. He also said he could stop the tractor with the brakes when he was in high range on the powershift. Any ideas on what might be going on in there?
Thanks fo any help, Case400

If planter lifts close to normal in 1st powershift, you are losing oil in the rear half of your powershift. Some or all of the C-2, C-3 clutch pack bolt are broken or C-2, C-3 distributer hub is leaking because of a bearing failure.

Is it possible that the clutch is hydraulic and is going bad? oil level ok? Does you transmission pressure gage work?
Our 970 has a weak hydraulic pump and you have to rev the engine higher and wait for the pressure to get up before clutching and shifting plus the hydraulics are slow. It was a pain so now we use a 2094 for the planter.
