I have a 54 dc that I overhauled 5 yr. or so ago.
Went to start it and the battery was dead as it sat for over a year. Put the charger on and than thought why do I need it with a mag. Took the crank and on the 4th pull it was running. I love those DC's and the sound. Cut my teeth onthem.

Butch,
You can always tell a D series Case by the unique sound-just like you can always tell a Ford Flathead by the unique starter sound. DC"s are really special machines, especially the late models. Enjoy!
