I have a 930 6 speed with a home made 3 point. That works ok but the remotes didn't. As instructed,I checked the controls in the back to see if the levers for upper an lower were engaged and working ok. Visually everything was connected and seemed to work. Took out filter element cleaned and reinstalled it. Filled up with new hydraulic fluid, connect the two upper hoses to the remote lines, cranked fired her up and when I pushed the lever forward it would lower the disk and raise the tires, push back ...nothing. so what give here? Overhual, or get a rebuild? The reote lever still wants to fall forward and the hydraulic pump makes a nasty noise.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for any help.

Ron

Cap an spring you mention is pressure releaf valve that should be set at 1500psi i think. Need gage to test that or if buy holding leaver against stop hose should quiver or at idle engine should labor (poor mans gage).

atary holding other leavers in forward or rear position than try other leaver. Some of tractors had a float position on leaver that works eagle hitch an also had limited down pressure on that leaver if you ndid not pull completely back. Fully back it would stay there an be in float positionit .. Not sure what is on your tractor .I have to put eagle hitch leaver fully back or forward to use other leaver on my 830 but since it only sits i havent tried to fix it. Just thought it might help

could be several things, pump is chain driven, chain could have fallen off idler is prone to failure could need repair kit, were availabe 20 years ago,you may not have hoses hooked to the cylinder correctly.the pairs are top right top left and botton right bottom left.

Thanks. I have the two bottom (left and right) hoses hooked up to the disc remote cylinder. Someone mentioned that it could be the control valve sticking. There's a port on top of the pump with a cap with a heavy spring inside...that may be crapped up or ball/cyliner stuck. Guess I will try that before I remove the pump. I priced a rebuilt pump for $275.00...however I'm told that if the 3 point is working then it's not the pump.
