Looking for input and advice on valve settings for the cross-motor valve clearance. .001 thou seems like very little , especially for a new rebuilt head. I have visions of valve burnings at that setting. Any advice, experience greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Brian

The book calls for 1 - 100th of an inch , or [qoate] 3 thicknesses of ordinary writing paper. Don L.

I think I set mine at ten thousands (If you spell it that way). It runs good and at low RPM it will not hurt it at all. If you were turning 4 or 5 thousand RPM it might be critical but not at 1000 or less.
