Looking through my books, I find a Case 1030, 1031, and 1032 for the 1966 - 1969 period. The seem to be the same tractor, but have different serial number sequences. Does anyone know what is the difference between these models?

Thanks for the help!

Since I'm usually a JD guy, what is the difference between general purpose and Western special front ends? Is that like adjustable and fixed width?

1032 is the western special. 1031 is the general purpose model. That is what your serial # tag will have on it. 1030 is just the series. If they had built a gas job, which they didnt, the western would have been a 1042 and the GP would have been a 1041 the 4 designates gas as the fuel the 3 designates diesel. I hope this helps!

There was never a 1030 gas but I'd go with row crop, western special, comfort king, draft o matic or different configurations to get the 3 different numbers.

I think it was gas or Diesel engine, and row crop or western special.

Sorry, dctom. Dad owned a 1032 and they have the front axle turned around to give it a shorter wheelbase. The 1031 has the normal, front facing axle.
