Would anyone out there know of a source to purchase a kit to clean rusty gas tank, and coat the inside? Thank You in advance, Dave Zook

try www.por15.com. They have a good 3 part tank sealer (cleaner, etcher, sealing compound).

Dave, I thought my tank was in very bad shape. It's a diesel tank, below the fuel level was ok. Above the fuel level was what I would call very bad, due to condensation sitting outside for three years. I took the tank to a radiator shop and they acid cleaned it for $50. I was told coating was not always a good thing, they said it might not adhere, I think maybe due to fuel type and they said the older tanks are so heavy you don't always need coatings. Mine is extremely clean even as rusty as it was. Just something to consider, hope it helps, Chris.
