Hilario, Both engines are 148 cid, the main difference between the 148 and the 148B is the diameter of the crankshaft journals (and anything that runs on the journals) and the oil pan. The 148 engine is generally found in tractors, combines, etc 1956 through 1959. The 148 block casting nr is G1000 and the gas cylinder head is casting nr G1148. The following is nominal, crankshaft journals: mains = 2.250" - rods = 1.9375". The 148B engine is 1960 and later. I don't know the casting nrs. The following is nominal, crankshaft journals: mains = 2.625" - rods = 2.061". As you can see the journals are significantly larger in the 148B compared to the 148 and the casting nr was likely changed on the block but probably not on the cylinder head. 110M00928 is the engine serial nr stamped vertically above the starter. 110M is the engine "family", the last 5 digits are assigned to blocks in sequence as they are built. I have a 1956 Case model 310 with a 148 engine serial nr 110M03357, so that means your block was built before mine. The factory 148 engine MS gas carb was a TSX635, but that doesn't mean much as carbs get changed out, massaged, and work fine on a variety of engines. Your engine serial nr is most common in 1956 & 1957 Case machinery. Tractor wise that is the model 310 & 311. The 310 is a utility tractor with a fixed tread. The 311 is a general purpose with adjustable tread, wfe or nfe. If you can post pictures it would help ID the tractor. Joe
