Put new headgaskets about 3 months ago and now leaking in 3 different spots. heads and the block looked fine. any suggestions on why the head gaskets could be leaking in a short period of time? any help would be appreciated!

Did you Re-Torque the heads? Proper procedure is to back each not, or stud off 1/4 turn, then come back up to spec, when warm.

followed shop manual when installing the first headgasket. taking heads to the machine shop tom. to see if they need resurfacing. does any one know if they have any updates to the motor in a 4890, such as headgaskets?

Backing off head bolt to retorque is not proper procedure, but a sure way to cause a blown head gasket. Speaking from experience.

Mine leaked every time until I did it that way. No leaks since. Speaking from experience. Maybe you weren't doing it warm.

Word for word, rite from the CASE Shop manual. Standard procedure here, & never a blown head gasket.

Backing off the head bolt can change the crush\seal of the fire ring, especially the 504"s. I USED to do the back off & torque procedure as you guys suggest. Having the cyl head check for flatness is a must, especially on 674"s. Was that done?

The heads should have been checked\resurfaced the first time. After resurfacing, the mach shop may have to cut circle grooves on head surface deeper. Not all mach shops are able to do this.
