I have a 1962 6 speed 930 diesel (not a CK) and the remotes are not working. 3 point works ok. Check remote cylinder with another tractor and it works fine. I thought about a list of items i should check out before going to the pump so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Ron

Hey! How did you get a three point on a six speed? Can you post a picture??

Anyway, most likely, you have an internal problem with the valve. The pump is good as it works the mysterious three point. It could be a simple problem with the valve linkage. Take off the rectangular plate on the back of the hydraulic unit, about 3" by 4 " with an eagle cast into it, look and see if the valve is being engaged when you work the lever. You may just have some simple problem. If that is not where things have gone wrong then, remove the pump/valve unit, get a IT manual, some clean cookie sheets, a very clean area in your shop, a supply of O-rings and have at it. It could just be a piece of crud, old filter, dirt, etc. or a broken O-ring. If you take it to a shop it will cost a lot in labor. So, here is a better alternative, call a salvge yard, those pumps can be purchased used for about $150-250, and are easy to install. LOL!

Yes, the 3 Point is an add on. The guy I bought it from said he custom built it (home made) but it is very strong structuraly and functions just like any other 3 point. If you would still would like a photo let me me know and I'll take a shot of it and post it. Hey, thanks a lot for all of the help...one more question ...is the filter a screw on and is is located on the right side?

One thing I forgot to mention is that the left outer lever (which I assume operates the remotes) will fall forward on it's own and give off a wierd grind - whine sound. I confess that I do not know much about this tractor but I really like it and it is a very strong work horse.
