When in low forward, my dual range shifter pops out of gear. works fine in high until I hit a tough spot with the loader, then it will pop out as well. Don't have any problem in high or low in reverse. I replace the detent spring, ball and dual range rail with no results. What are the chances that replacing the dual range fork will fix this problem vs having to split the tractor and rebuild the dual range transmission?

Thanks,

Andy

Andy,

I have a 530 thats doing almost the same thing.
It was to pop out of high range does it under a load. Low range seems to be ok. While back I had the same problem on first and reverse not working right on transmission. This tractor doesn't get drove that much. I think in the last 3 yrs I only put 3 or 4 hrs running time on it. I was thinking the detent ball and spring might be sticking or even broke? This use to be my dads tractor.
Maybe someone will jump in here and explain the situation that were having.

Happy Holidays to you and your family!
Mike from lower Michigan.
