Would like to know if anyone has or knows where there might be a set of side curtians for a CC Case?

Re: case 350 round nose production numbers in reply to dctom, 07-22-2006 07:20:11
Hello, I am new to this forum, but already the posts have taught me a lot. I just purchased a case 351 serial #6081278, I was curious what year this was. According to the earlier posts it probably a '57, but a slight chance of being a '58. It has a narrow front end and the old decals say "350". Unbelivably the tractor is complete with the original side panels!! Any help you could give me on the year would be appreciated. Nick

I would think if you wanted them Case would of sold them to you. Since there isnt much in the way of records for the C series I wouldnt see how someone could tell you that its not origional (in my opinion). I would be interested in placing them on my 1931 CINT if I could find a set. I would think a sheet metal shop may be able to help you with these.

I've never seen even a picture of any. My understanding is that side curtains were available for L's and while C models had slots in the hood for their attachment they were only used on CE power units.

I have a 1930 brochure that under "Special Equipment" lists "Hood Sides" being available for "any of the new Case tractors", but only an L is shown with them.

I have a picture of a CC with them, but I have only seen them on exported tractors. I"m not sure why.

Yes, they were used under the mounted corn pickers. Don't see them very often.

I asked the question about side curtains on a D, since they do have the slots. I was told that only the 'DE' power units had it as an option, but they all used the same hood.
