I was wondering if it would be difficult to put the new low pressure hydraulic pump on an older vac and totally do away with the old one? You would need to remove the old pump and belt pully assembly. Then cut a square cover with the four bolt holes. That cover would need one line going in for the pickup line to supply the pump. Another line for the return line. And lastly some way to vent the torque tube. The oil volumes I believe are the same in the turque tube so that wouldn't be a problem. Now install a newer VAC pump, buy a new control valve that has the relief valve at around 900psi and plumb it all up! Please excuse my ingnorance in believing that this will be easy. Also, thanks to everyone that responds on this board. Your advice is very appreciated. Please let me know what you think of this idea. Thanks
