Does anyone know where the pump is located on the 580CK's. It makes a huge amount of what I am assuming to be cavatation noise, will a fluid change stop this, or does the pump need replacement?

Also, I already know that I have to change out all of the filters that have been placed in various places on the tracor, is there a way that I can bypass the multiple filters and switch to one large filter?

had the same problem with cavitation noise in the front pump. Turned out to be the suction hose collapsing during a draw down for a cylinder. check your rubber hose between your reservoir and pump and see if you have a kink or if you can squeeze it. It should be solid and round. John

The pump is in front of the tractor, in front of the radiator. Running one filter won't work because there are several separate systems. The torque-converter system is totally separate from the loader/hoe hydraulic system.

Thanks for the information, so much for a simple solution ;-)

Looks like I am off to the Case / IH dealer for filters..
