The Case hydraulic oil is muli-viscosity. Like a 5-20w and great rust inhibitors. A knowlegable lubricant distributor will probably tell you the same. Don't forget the filter?
Best, Dennis.....

The rear end and the 4speed trans.use 90wt gear oil, you can check oil level under the seat.

Re: Hydraulic/transmission oil TCH in reply to Dave F., 11-29-2005 11:42:29
Because the oil put into the torque tube for hydraulics needs to lubricate transmission gears too, TCH (Torque Converter Hydraulic) is the recommended oil or find an oil that is an equivalent.

Roger, My 430 has a seperate plug/dipstick for the transmission the oil in there appears to be heavier (thicker) than hydralic oil. where I check the hydralic oil seperate plug/dipstick the fluid level is low not on the mark on the little dipstick. would it still be ok to use the hydralic oil that you metioned ? not owning this tractor for very long I am not quite famillar with it. Thanks again Dave F.

Wayne is right. There are TWO different oils used in your tractor (430). The 90W gear lube is used in the rear end. There is a long dip stick plug/rod located on the left near the driver's seat for checking that oil. The other is on the left side (pipe plug) near the hand clutch. It has a dip stick on that plug too for checking the TCH hydraulic oil level. Add TCH hydraulic oil through the plug located on the cover that is in FRONT of the gear shift cover. The 430 is a great tractor.
