Where Does the DC Decal Go?

I'm almost done with my DC restoration and am working on the hood decals. I saved an old hood just for this day. The old hood still shows where the DC goes. It's right between the two rivet heads that the front hood studs connect to and about 1 1/2" rearward from the front edge. But I am working on a '52 DC that has a different hood. The rivet heads are too close together to get my DC decal there. Does it go forward of the rivets?? Or was it ever really there? Anybody out there that can measure a hood with the proper placement? Anybody out there that can send me a picture? Thanks for any help, Bruce

Bruce, ED agrees with the picture from the case Ad. He rembers them on the radiator.

Bruce, I have a piece of originaql, late DC literature, for a DC-4. They put the DC label on the radiator casting.

Bruce, to tell the truth i never saw a new DC with that decal, but collectors have been useing them for ever, i would place it just behind the rivits on your new style hood tom
