Can someone tell me how many Case DC"s were made as LP tractors? Even a rough estimate would help. I"m just curious about how rare this one is. Serial number looks like 608260. Another guy owns it and I would like to provide him with some information.

Thanks!

I have a 1951 DC on Lp gas coming back to life shortly {i hope}. Stop by for a peek if you wish, you are just up the road about 40 mile.

A DC LP is not rare, but also not common. Many of the existing examples are earlier models that were retrofitted with either a factory conversion or an aftermarket kit. The LP head is 6128A and was sometimes used on conversions and sometimes not. I would bet that this tractor has a 5 hidden under the screw holding the serial number tag making this a 1952 model. Does it have an Eagle Hitch? Live PTO? If so it probably is a factory equipped tractor. DC Tom can look up the serial number for you and give you the build card information stating the options the tractor was built with, if you ask him. A wild guess would be around 1000 factory equipped DC LP tractors. Very seldom seen at tractor shows. Don
