Ok, so I got an 811B gasser with the Eagle Hitch. I can mount a bale spear and after moving the top link point on the spear frame to the top of the frame and rewelding I can pick up a bale easily without the top link jamming against the hyrdaulic controls. The thing is the Eagle arms are much shorter than standard 3 point arms, so I don't get the hieght I need to get the bale off the ground enough to get by any high or low spots. The plan is to make some sort of extensions for the lift arms so the geometry changes and I get a higher lift. I figure around 8" should do it. I also have plans for making a front 3 pt lift on the loader frame since the loader didn't come with the tractor, but thats another story. Anyone else ever been through this?

I made a bale sticker patterned after the ones they sell at TSC, only heavie, With the proper third link over the pto I get plenty of lift on my 830 eagle hitch, tried to put it on the upper holes , didn't work good.

I use a 401 diesel to move bales with that has the factory pto cover and factory toplink and it works great. Try checking ebay for the cover and the toplink. Dave

If you have a genuine case 800 top link i end will be offset so it does not hit hyd leavers however you need a adapter that fits over pto-mounts on 4 studs around pto- this will give you the height you need. However if you lenghton the top mounting point on your bale spear you will have thesame or close to same geometry as with adapter an you will get height you need an will not have to remove adapter to use pto.

Sounds like you got an after market top link that was made for other model 3pt. A Case top link is shorter and will adjust down to short enough to lift the bale off the ground a lot. May be less expensive and much easier to find an appropriate Case top link.
