It passed with flying colors! Must put out over 80 hp. It is the prototype and on the market in Cambodia, with 12 more under construction. The airhorns and rearview mirror were added to move the lights forward, couldn't see as the turbo blocked the light. Note the air powered, foot operated hand clutch conversion and the cat 2 three point with top link that clears the PTO.

If you ever decide to sell them in the States, put me down for one.
I am in awe of your talent and ability. The DC was probably one of Case's best tractors, yet you've taken it to a whole new level. Congratulations!!!!! !!

Wow, that is one cool tractor.

It will be hard to get $8000 with out live pto and hydraulics. I would take a 53 converted model. ;)

Hey Ted,

Ever since I saw the pics of the project, I have been wondering how it was going to work. That is some incredible "post-factory" engineering you have done there and I am glad it is going to work for you.

Hey Ted,
That is one impressive piece of engineering! If only Case had continued to be that innovative. When will a kit be available for US conversions?

Don, we're selling these in Cambodia, for $8000US, that's with a remanufactured Mazda truck engine, and all new bearings, clutch, brakes etc.Basically, it's a new DC. It would be fun to see if there was a market in the US, like the PT Cruiser of tractors.

Ted,
Do you pressurize the cooling system? Don

Don, yes, we weld a plate inside the cover with a regular radiator tank top at the base of the cast radiator fill hole. It then has a pressurized cap but is covered by the original cast cap for apppearance and dust protection.

John, Yup, same old 4 speed, we governed the engine to 2200 rpm, but it seems to have good torque at about 1200, so we will probaly back it down to 1800 before we market it. But it's kind of fun to be able to go down the road at 20mph. 1st and 2nd will be the working gears.

The front wheel drive is taken off the sliding shaft. It was extended through the cover plate into an oil bath drop box to a 90 degree, 110 hp, "bush hog" gear box. The driving gear had to be moved to the other side of the box to reverse rotation. This then drives a Korean, "Calendo" 6X6 army truck front end, which is cut down to 60" wheel spacing. Since the sliding shaft is in constant ratio with the rear wheels it was just a matter of figuring out sproket sizes to get the feet per second the same on both front and rear wheels. Works great, but it is full time, even in reverse. The ratios were so close that we felt there would be no problem on hard surfaces.
