Howdy everyone, sure was brisk out there this morning!!! My brother in law Joe Kendall wanted to know if any of us remember if the old Case L. A., and 900 series tractors
were chain drive at the rear wheels. He believes they were, and he has a wager with a couple of other guys that say he is full of you know what!! If any of you can enlighten him on this subject , please let him or me know.

Yes indeed the L LA 500 600 900 and 930s are chain drive. The very last 930s were gear drive and had an 8 speed trans.

I know the LA has chains in the rear end. Not sure about the 900 though.
