When I release my boom it always bounces. Is this a sign of air in the lines. If so, how do I correct?

My 580B does the same thing. There is an "over center" condition between being latched in the upright position and the unlatched working position. When the boom is unlatched, the boom has some free travel. When the boom cylinders end the free travel, expansion and contraction in the boom hydralic hoses allows the boom to bounce slightly. Not to fear! It's the nature of the beast.
