I bought a 580ck forklift that needed a engine rebuild. We rebuilt the engine only to discover the W-G reverser was burned up beyond belief.Does anyone know anything about this unit or a source for a good used or rebuilt one. The local machine shop won't even attempt to repair all the damaged surfaces. I need this machine otherwise I'd scrap it. PLEASE help!!!!! !!!

Does it have the removable power shuttle and drive shaft ? If so your Case dealer has them as an exchange unit, no questions asked. If it has the shuttle built in to the torque tube, head for the bone yard. I believe it is the same as the 580B & 580ck tractor .

My case dealer told me today that they can no longer get the replacement power shuttle tranny for my 580 ck (1974?). I currently have the pump out of the shuttle. broken relief valve spring, and alittle wobble on the gear due to a worn shaft.

The screen on the tube was almost completely blocked with crap.

They are telling me that it's 480 dollars for installed parts. They suggested fixing the relief valve and using it. They felt it would be fine since I only use the backhoe around my property. Any thoughts?????
