Well the old girl runs good took the loader off yesterday. Still need to fix the fenders since they flap in the wind and I'm not going to pay $200 for a new set. Shoot I only payed $200 for the tractor in the first place. Changed the tranny fluid which help. And so far I think I have a good tractor. Only problem is I don't know what I'm going to do with it, I have to many as it is lol

Old, how about direct drive? Does it work? If it does and yours shifts without grinding, you are in fat city. A lot of bad ones out there including mine. And my engine developed anti-freeze in the oil after a few months. The top end had been done before I got it. Block was good, o-rings were bad. So I went throught the rest - rings only, no new cylinders. It runs fabulous now but I've got that pesky direct drive problem.

When you push in the clutch, the direct drive lever moves to converter drive position. I can't remember which way it goes. You'll be able to look at the linkage and figure it out. When the clutch is in, the linkage is automatically pushed to converter position. When you let out the clutch, the lever stays in that position. The operator has to move it to the other position to get direct drive. Be sure you are moving when you do this. If you've got good direct drive, there will be a sizeable lurch as it switches from torque converter to direct drive.

Old, my SC has the same fenders and had the same problem .First I cut the fender off just above the bottom support. Then I ground off the the old part of the fender from the bottom support. Then I took 1 inch angle iron and cut 4 peaces . the 90angle will have to be beat out just a littil to match the angle on the fender . then I welded the angle onto tireside of fender and bottom support. Last I welded a 3/16 inch round rod between support and fender to fill the small gap were the fender had rusted. I think they came out good there are pictures of my tractor on my Dads wed site case38man. I hope this is clear as mud
