I know what it is as a friend has on just like it,almost. what you are looking at is 58 case 600. apparently on propane, yes they came with foot clutch, they are very rare indeed.

My freinds' is diesel and was used all of its life to do road work until it spun a rod. my friend bought it and put in new engine. now it pulls in 8500, 9500 and 10,500 farm stock classes.

What in the world ever had a transmission like that with a foot clutch? Did the early 400 Standard have a trans like that or were they all dual range on one stick? Front nosepiece looks like a 400. Back of the transmission looks like a 400 without the hydraulic pump and PTO. Maybe 4 cyl was replaced with 6? Are those huge brakes out there on the ends of the axles? STRANGE RIG !!!!!

It looks like the Trans and rear end is a LAI The engine from a 600Lp or 900Lp. six cyld. Sheet metal from a 800 and everything else(powersteering, battery box. steering arm, Lp tank, and even clutch) Jerryrigged. Probably served it"s purpose, but looks also like a very careless operator as it is sure beat up.

Was the 500 a 4 speed? If so did the industrial version have a foot clutch option? Then suppose the guy dropped in a six cylinder LP of a 600 or 900? But why change the radiator? Tis a puzzle.

Yes case made a 520 industrail and it had a foot clutch. It had a for speed transmission. Remember the 600's top radiator tank was cast, then the grill bolted just below it. On the other hand the 900's had the bug eye looking top piece that set out front of the radiator. If you look closely to the front end the radiator sets back fron the front end like the 900's do. Also look at the wishbone on the front end going back to the back of the engine it's angle iron and the 600 has flat irons. I agree with most that top radiator piece is 400, hood is 500 or 600, I think the rear end is 520, and the front half is 910.
