Well it seems all things come to a end. The company I work for has been selling IH for 95 years. Then becoming Case IH when Case and IH merged. They then took on the New Holland line back in the 80's. Then with the Merger with Case/New Holland they continued selling both lines.

Since then they seemed to lean towards the New Holland line of equipment. Well case informed them that they needed to also sell the Case line to keep up the Case standards. Well being small as they are they put there equipment and haying machinery into New Holland so Case annouced they would be taking the Case franchise away from us.

I don't know for sure when this will all take place but it does look like I'll need to find a new place to get parts now. Area farmer and ranchers will have to drive additional 25 miles to nearest dealer. Not looking good because the other dealer is also a New Holland dealer.

You're not in Northeast Ohio are you? I'd hate to see my sourse for some DB parts go away and it sounds like you're talking about my nearest case dealer.

No I'm not anywhere close to you cj. We were informed today upper management is trying to get a parts contract. Also found out that some upper management knew this was comming in advance but never said anything to the parts manager till this week. Guess 1st November may tell the real story.

Hey caseman: What are they thinking? With the loss of the CASE line, they lose the DMI Tillage, Planters & Drills. They still had the New Holland Hay & Forage, only painted Red. If you haven't realized already, you will come to learn how fortunate you have been to work in a CASE dealership & access those parts yourself.

Caseman-d,
Our local Case dealer is also going heavily to New Holland. The parts manager said that they HAVE to wear NH shirts or they get docked points from the sales manager. They also have way more NH equipment on hand than Case. They used to be the world's largest Case dealer in the 70's. Thats why I say Case is dead. A distant memory for us old timers.

That's just stupid big corporate management for you that has nothing better to do worrying about shirts? Most of them have no idea what the customer the dealer serves needs anyway. Thought the idea of the mergers were to sell them all yet? How can you make money when you can't serve the customer?
