Is a DC4 a good pulling tractor?

I have a DC3 and seen many DC3's pull and do very well. I just bought a DC4 and was wondering about it. Its such a short stubby tractor I wasn't sure if it was as weight balanced as the DC3.

I have a 1949 DC3 that I pull in 5000# and up and I dont have any trouble with the front coming up. We pull on some of the best tracks in Arkansas and it will really hook-up. I once had 14 100# wts. on the rear 2 on the front and the track was tacky. I killed the engine and the front never tried to get light.

We had a guy pulling with a DC-4, was doing great with it till he painted it and put different tires on it. It still pulled good. I do beleive he made a bracket to put weights on front.

The DC4 is too short. Neighbor had 2 when I was home on the farm and they came up in the front pretty fast. Good tractor but would be hard to balance.

Thanks guys,

I was afraid that the front would come up fast. I might make a weight bracket for the front and see how it does.
