If you can afford them they are worth about $800 for the set. Anyway that is what most go for on E-bay. I would set my mind as to how much I want to spend then wait for last 2 minutes to put in a bid. Its riskiy but you you usely get it cheaper that way if no else runs it way up before hand.

Well, it depends on what you want, origianlity or power? The aluminum, 4&1/16 inch sets will run you about $800, but give you another 10hp.

I appreciate your reply, Do you think the cast iron org. set is worth half of the alum. or aprx. 400.00?? I am not sure but would like to keep my old tractor org. stock equipment if possible. And are these that rare or are they avail. elsewhere? They do not end for a few days, so I think I will hang tight but I would like to know where to draw the line on cost. Thanks again.

At the end of the DC production run Case pulled back a lot of the tractors and put in 4" aluminum pistons in order to increase the power to compete with IH Super M's etc. If your tractor is pre 1952, and you want original, then you'd better get these. They are very scarce, so the price is whatever they bring.

Thanks for the reply, mine is a 1949 and I would like to keep it org. I guess I will have to decide how much I am willing to spend before the auction ends. Thank again.
