I need some help identifying a case tractor I recently acquired. It is an industrial model, with a grader blade on the front. The serial number is SI 8031162. Any help in id'ing the year and model would be appreciated..

Brian,
Post this again with DCTOM in the subject so Tom reads your post. I think Tom will have the build card for this, which will tell you what day it was made and to where it was originally shipped. It may tell a bit about what options it had.

Thanks DCTOM for all of the interesting info you provide.
Ron

THIS IS A 56 SI AND THE LOADER IS A WARNER BLADE USED MOSTLY IN THE NORTH WEST U.S. AS FOR THE WINCH IT IS A WONDERING PEACE.USED FOR LOGGING IS CORRECT. IT SHOULD HAVE A HI HITCH ON BACK. NOT THE WINCH. I HAVE SEEN TWO OF THESE WHILE I WAS IN MT. AND IDAHO.FACOTRY ONE'S ANY WAY.

It would appear to be a 1954 model 'S' Industrial (SI).

That's a pretty nifty looking setup. Is all of that homemade?

Thanks. It appears to have came with the blade, although it has been repaired and rigged along the way. The winch on the rear appears to have been added later.. this tractor was being used about 10 yrs ago for logging. All that appears to be missing is the carb.
