I have what I believe is a CASE DC-4. Haven't been able to prove it yet though. The problem is I drained the oil,and I can't find a place to put oil in or a dip stick to check oil level.Don't know where to put oil in, or how much?? HELP PLEASE!!

The oil is filled behind the governor on the right front of the engine. It is a large screw off cap, cast iron about 3" in daimeter. Check the level with the two pipe plugs in the crankcase. When it comes out the top plug hole it is full. You need a manual, as there is also a quart in the clutch housing and if you change the filter, assuming you have one, you need a quart for that as well.

You can find the serial number on a plate attached to the middle of the dashboard. It is right ahead of the steering column. If that plate is gone or unreadable, there will be a number stamped on the engine flange where it bolts up to the transmission housing right in back of the air cleaner. It may be hard to read if it is dirty or repainted but it will be there. If your engine is the original then that is the same as the tractor serial number. Good Luck!
