Will the sheet metal, hood, grill, side panels, etc. off a gas model fit a diesel, both 300 series ???

The two major differances I can think of is that side panels were not used on the deisal models of the 300, and the grill frame hinged from the left instead of the right like other models of that tractor. Roger300

From the pictures in the CH Wendel book, I'd say everything will work except the side panels. Diesel engine looks to have oil filter hanging out too far on left side, and upright exhaust on right side would keep side panel from going on unless you got creative with a sawzall....

Pat, the 57's came with the exhaust out the side and I believe there was an elbow change for the 300's that allowed for the muffler out the side.

Thanks John, I didn't know that! My Dad had a 300 roundnose gas when I was just a little guy, must have been earlier than a 57 because the exhaust was down and out back. I never saw it with side panels, Dad said he took them off right after he got the tractor and didn't know what he did with them. It sure was one of Case's most unique tractors.
