My wife went and did it. Surprised and amazed me again. Now I may not have as many tractors as some, but a few more than others. I am partial to VA series Cases as the first one I worked on when I was 12 was a VA and I still have it. When we were first married my wife did not understand the affliction I had and did not always tolerate it well, but with the years she has accepted my illness and today she helped with the treatment. While on one of her daily errands today, she saw a tractor for sale, and instead of avoiding it she stopped and got a phone number for me. Before I had a chance to call, she even gave me a ride to look at it. We turned the corner and there it was, a VAO with an original CASE disc hooked on back, beautiful she was. Then the owner came out to talk to me about the tractor and inform me of all the used parts and new parts and other pieces of equipment that came with it. Well she could see I wanted it and I had yet to ask the price. I finally did the inevitable and ask how much. The price was better than I had expected, but more than I had available for another tractor. But when she heard the price, well she has with me long enough to see a good deal and I could see it in her eyes that I had better buy this tractor. At least that was what it looked like to me, so I agreed to the price and arranged a time to pick it up. Some of you may agree with me and others will disagree, but I have got to have the best wife there is. I do not think there is a cure for what I have, but sure do enjoy the treatment.

And to think that Roger Welsh has the gall to say "If you want to read about love and marriage, that takes two seperate books."

Congrats on your rare finds in flesh and iron:)

Once My DC was lost about 20lb of oil preasure. I took the cover off where the oilscreen is in the side of the pan and it was covered in a sludge . Took out the screen and cleaned it but there was a quarter inch layer in the bottom of pan . Well my big hand would not fit in the hole but hers would .She went in to the elbow and washed the pan out for me What a GAL.

Sounds like you got a couple of good ones there, a vao and a great missus. I've got the same thing, a good wife and a 730. You can always find a good deal on another tractor, but a good wife is priceless.

The best thing I ever did for my tractor fever
was to buy my wife a ford NAA. Now she wants to go to all the local sales to look for implements.
We got a new to us (used) disk this weekend.
Good Luck
