How difficult is it to change this machine from all individual lever controls to joysticks?

Certainly not worth the trouble and cost .... just learn the single lever controls and dig away. Many machines have moved alot of dirt with the system as designed. Consider this ... the valve was not designed for joy sticks as in the newer backhoes so the external linkage to "simulate" joystick operation has much free-play (much like the loader control for the 580ck) and the control becomes inconsistant.
