There is a farm sale comong up with a 930 Case LP. If the condition is average what would it be worth? It is a factory LP. How many gallons an hour would it use under normal load? Would you think I would like it as a chore tractor? Pros and cons?

My dad has a pretty nice Rowcrop 930 LP that he bought to take the loader off of for his diesel. He's going to offer it for sale for $2750.00 when he gets the brakes repaired on it. These are some of the cheapest tractors for your buck that you can buy. Lots of inexpensive power.

Say, contact me regarding that 930. I might be interested. Where are you located? Does it have 3 point? Can you send a picture/

Thanks!
Ted

My machinery estimator says $3000, $2000 if in fair condition. However, I think that is high. You'd need a pretty nice tractor to get over $2000.

It is a pretty big tractor for doing chores. It's got 81 horspower and weighs nearly 9000#. It could weigh a lot more than that if it has weights or fluid in the tires.

I usually think of a chore tractor as 50 HP or less. As far as fuel consumption, it will use gas like an 80 hp tractor would. It won't be extremely efficient on small jobs. It may seem cumbersome even because of its size.

It will use about 10-15% mores gallons per hour than the gas equivalent and about 35% more than a diesel.

But then, maybe it is what you need. My guess is it will be cheap per horsepower.
