Im trying to fix the temp gauge on my neighbors 530 Case. The problem we are having is we can't figure out where to put the two wires that go up to the gauge. There are 3 studs. One says "I" other is a ground and the other says "S" One of the wires is HOT and the other goes down to the sending unit down in the block. We have tryed everyway we could think of and can't get the guage to read anything. Any help? Thanks! The old gauge is nothing like the new one.

Look for a light green wire to the ignition switch and another light green wire that goes into the wiring bundle, through a connector, and on as a light green wire to the temperature sensor. I don't think it matters which light green wire connects to which terminal but I could well be wrong on the last point.

I = ignition for 12V (or 6V if it applies), generally a switched post on the ignition switch.

S = wire to sender.

Gnd = wire to tractor frame.

Gauge & sender need to be compatible.

If Steward Warner cluster, original gauge movement was magnetic type. Go down to the post entitled "Fuel gauge sender unit" and read that troubleshooting link.

I just bought a temp gauge from TSC for my 530 and it was prewired and works great.

Not the answer you were looking for, but if you don't get a better one, it is an alternative.

Good luck.
