I bought a non-running 830 CK LPG. I have replaced plugs, wires, points, dist. cap & rotor and it sparks OK on all cylinders, but won't start. Just tried to set the timing with the #1 piston at TDC on compression stroke and the crank pulley lined up on the 0 degree (At TDC) mark. Anyway I notice that the rotor isn't pointing toward the #1 cylinder as is common, but is aiming directly out to the right of the tractor. Also, where the number under the dist. cap says "4", is actually where it should be firing on #3 cylinder. It seems like the distributor is 90 degrees out of whack? I did try moving the plug wires ahead by one cylinder on the dist. cap but it still won't start. Any ideas? It's an IBT-4402. Thanks for your help.

You said it sparks ok. Good compression? Is it getting fuel? Oil bath air cleaner? Put same weight of oil in it as in engine to proper level to get it to pull some fuel.
