My '63 310 backhoe has begun to miss on cylinder #2 or 3 after the engine is warm. I have replaced cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Does anyone have the valve lash specs for this engine, and the proper ignition timing setting/procedure? Any other ideas on what to try to get her back to work? Thx.

I have the same issue on my 411B. Runs great cold, hook up to a disk and it farts worse than a ham and bean supper! That is after a major overhaul, new rebuilt distributor, cap, wires etc. I can not wait to see what I am not thinking of.

Hay guys you may have a tight valve gide do to carbon deposit. opens and closes cold engine, tight gide warm to hot engine therefore sticky valve. listen to engine exoist sound cold to miss. that might be your problem. its hard to diagnose over a computer or phone. good luck Wayne J.
