I was wondering what different combinations of trannies were available for the 630. Were there straight 4 speeds, dual range for 8 speeds, triple range for 12 and which ones were offered with case-o-matic? I am almost positive that I saw a triple range case-o-matic but I didn't think that option was available.Any input would be appreciated. THanks Jake

One of my I&T books indicated the Case O Matic at one time came with an 8 speed with one shift lever and one lever, near the shifter, for hi-lo range. That may be what you saw.

I have a 630 COM. There is a lever exactly like the triple range (left hand side transmission housing. I can get it in high and low. For some reason my battery cover has speeds for 3 different settings H, D, L. I don't understand that because I think the COMs were all 8 speeds. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

The triple range lever is on the right side. It has High, Direct and Low. Between high and low is Neutral... with it in neutral slide the shift lever to the right and then forward this is Direct... if your tractor is so equipped with trpl range and not just H & L. I have no experince with COM's, just triple range. You may just have high and low... and a miss placed decal.

I have all the books on the 630. I have seen the dual range, triple range and case-o-matic...never heard of a triple range COM???
I don"t have any experience with the COM, in fact my 630 is a trpl range as is my uncles and several others that I have seen...but if you saw a lever where the trpl range lever would be, it maybe a torque converter lock-up lever...I think I remember reading about it somewhere. But again I have never even seen a COM 630

I grew up with a Case 630 Case-oMatic that was a triple range and it also had shuttle on it. It had a four speed tanny. This was our big tractor at the time and we had a loader on it. With the shuttle it made it a dream to work with couplled the com.
