Does anyone have any sggestions on a good source for the hooks and lock for the eagle hitch? And also a better way to secure them? Maybe I"m just silly but I"ve had to replace 4 of these pains in the butt over the past 2-3 years because they either break or fall out while working in the field. Thanks in advance.

This past spring I checked on the latch and spring for Eagle hitch on 530. Both were available from Case. I bought the springs. The latch was just over $90., pricey but I could have it in 3 days. Probably still of good Case quality. If you are breaking a lot of these, maybe you are doing something wrong?? Are the flat springs there and working?? Looks to me if the springs are nonfunctional the whole idea of the hitch system goes in the dumper. Post follow up if you want part # or a ?.

George,
You know I might be doing somethign wrong, wouldn't be the first time for that. Thanks but I had a guy contact me and I bought 2 complete arms from him for a really good price. I think that the problem was to pins and clips that hold the 2 pieces together. The older clips would break and then the pins fall out and the rest would become history. I'm now using a bolt and double nutting the thing together. We'll see how this works. The next challenge will be the carb rebuild...

Yea Wengers had them but the service that I gt form them on the last ones that I order was really poor. And I felt for the $ it just should have been better. These things appear to be cast iron and I think that the OEM parts were probablly better made. Some of the after market ones have broken and other times the pin that hold the lock and hook togther has either come out or has broken. The arms look fine to me but of course I'm no expert.
