Information on David Brown Engine

I have just "inherited" an Oliver 500 that is intact except for the distributor.

The engine is embossed with words "David Brown". The best I can determine, this is really a DB tractor that was imported by Oliver and then painted green.

Can anyone on this forum confirm? Is the DB model 500 the same tractor? What distributor is used on the DB 500?

It is actually a David Brown 850, which was designated as the Oliver 500. Not too many of them around. I will have to check, but i may have a distributor here. Is the rest of the tractor in good shape.

Do you happen to have any specs on the Oliver 500 / DB 850??? Are parts interchangeable with any other model of Oliver or DB????
