I am trying to find the year and model of this Case tractor that my dad bought about 3 years ago. We are in the process of overhauling the engine as well as trying to get the hydraulics to work. The serial number plate which was mounted on the side of the dash is missing. It is a gas engine; 4 speed with a Tripl-Range gear box; 3 point eagle hitch; tricycle front wheels (possibly converts to wide front), it had a power steering booster motor which has been removed. We believe the engine model is a G164 with a bore of 3 9/16". The numbers that I was able to get off of the engine and other areas are as follow: Engine-G2000 Torque Tube-G1712
Tripl-Range-G1033
Transmission Housing Cover-G1742 (F272; in smaller print under G1742).

We need to replace the crankshaft and bearings. It is becoming more apparent that we also may have to find a short block as there have been many holes patched in the crankcase from a blown rod. If more info is needed please email me. I will be posting pictures as soon as I can.

How about a 500B (dry clutch) or a 600B (Case-O-Matic) from 1958 through 1960??? Bore of 3 9/16 X 4 1/8.

There is no case-o-matic in this tractor that I am aware of. It could be either a 350 or 500, have no clue as to the year, unless the 4 8 59 stamped on the lower left side of the crankcase would be the manufacture date. I forgot to mention that the tractor has a hand and foot clutch, also has a belt pulley off the right side.

Then it be a B series tractor and if the other post is correct on the numbers pertaining to a Case 500B then that sounds correct, so it would be a 1959 and after
