Came across a cast iron Case gas tank cap, at least I think it's a gas tank cap. It's about 3" in diameter and about 5/8" high with a fine thread inside the cap. Has the Case emblem cast into the top (eagle and globe) and a couple of big donkey ear tabs for tightening it up. Maybe it's a rad cap but with the threads I doubt it. There are numbers cast into the top as well, they read 2653A. Anyone know what model it might be off?

is it the "Case tan"? I think some diesel "00 and "30 series had that type of cap.

We have two 400's (401-diesels) with that kind of cap.

That sounds like a cap from a gas or kerosene tank from a Case Crossmotor. If you're looking to sell it, I'm looking for one for my 12-20.

Seems like our SC had a cap about like what you described where you added engine oil near the governor.

Hey,Mike, Sounds like a cap off a dozer to me,a lot of them screwed on. Never saw a screw on cap on a tractor, though I'm sure there's a lot I've never seen.

I'm in beautiful downtown Bear Creek,Lincoln County, near the metropolis of West Hamlin, with the throngs of people crowding the sidewalks. Crowded here,I can actually hit the closest house to me with a rock,if I chose to.You?

I have a farm in Fayette County where I keep my tractors. It's near Babcock State Park. My sister and her husband live at Harts in Lincoln County.
