I ran AutoLite 386's in my VAC puller for several seasons. A couple summers back it developed a misfire that I finally traced to the plugs. Put in a new set of 386's - still wasn't right. Borrowed a known-to-be-good set of 386's from our Moline M5 - still wasn't right. Installed a set of Champion D16's - problem solved.

Weird...

I switched to Autolite 388"s a couple years ago and have never looked back. When I got it it had Champion D-15Y"s. The Autolite"s seem to run rings around the Champions. YMMV.

Darrell; I use Champion D21 or Auto-lite 387 for my tractors that see light duty and for regular work, I go to the colder Champion D16 or Auto-lite 386. I prefer A-C Delco plugs when I can find them , but don"t have the numbers right off the top of my head... Gene
