Hey guys, sorry to sound so stupid but here goes. I need a new radiator core for my 53 DC. There is a guy on e-bay selling a core that he says will fit a DC. My question is are there any differences in radiatior cores from different years. The guy at the radiator shop here tells me to make sure it has the round header. Were some round and some squared off? Thanks for any help. I just want to make sure I am buying something that will fit.

If it is like the last two I bought, it will have a square cornered header. You can easily trim the corner to match the contour of the DC tank. Just use a hacksaw or grinder to shape it as you need to. The header is the sheet metal part that all the tubes are soldered to at the top and bottom of the core. I think all years will fit the same core. Bruce

all cores will fit a dc however later ones had four(4) rowes of tubes and earlier ones had only three(3), if you plan on useing this tractor better get the four(4) row one, he will run hot if pulled hard and been over sized at all tom

Thanks for the help guys. I believe you've answered my questions. This old girl is strictly for shows and a few antique pulls. Got to get her running and looking good first. Thanks again.
