Hello, I am contemplating buying a Case DC - seems to be in great shape and looks nice, too. What is it worth? Any suggestions? Thanks, guys. Oh - I am in Ohio.

It's worth what you are willing to pay. I paid 1300.00 for mine, it's been a good puller.I have that much again in the head.(real good puller.)

We have both Cases & Farmalls, both good units. That DC will out-pull your H & an M too, if its in good shape. It'll probably use less fuel too. The "chicken roost" steering looks clumsy, but its not, works like power steering, you just can't get too close to the fence. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Up here, I think farmall's bring a little more. Regardless, with the NFE and no hitch, I would give $800 unless she has decent paint and is knee deep in rubber!

What brings money up here is a loader, I guess because of all the loam and rocks. You can get a decent Maine tractors to drive around the yard with for $700, add a hydo hitch to it and you get $1200, add a loader and you get $2200, add diesel and you get $4100, 4WD and you get $6,100. Not really, but it sounds good....

Like someone already mentioned, they are worth what someone is willing to pay. Post a pic if you can, the numbers you get back will be more accurate.

Ok - asking a stupid question - what is an eagle hitch (I am a farmall guy....but like the looks of this orange toy). The tires on the front (NFE) are new, the rears are 80% or better...look good.

The "Eagle Hitch" was Case's answer to Ferguson's 3-point hitch just as IH's answer was the "Quick Hitch". The Eagle Hitch came out in the early 1950's, it looks similar to a 3-point hitch except the ends of the arms have a claw (Eagle Claw) looking device where they fasten to the implements. The Case DC is similar in size to the Farmall M. The Case SC is similar in size to the Farmall H. Prices for the Cases are also usually pretty close to similarly equipped Farmall. The Farmall may be worth a little more in some areas of the country.

Seller says no eagle hitch. Still like to know what one is. The hitch on this one is a drawbar...about 18 inches wide. Has a hand clutch. Not sure on the year.

Hand clutch and no eagle hitch would be pre 1952. Subtract 4 from the 1st two digits of serial number and you will have model year.
