A few questions...What years was the 300 made?, Was a diesel available?, Were they all tripple range?, Did they all have live power take-off?, Was power steering available? I am talking only about the ag tractor. Thanks, Glenn F.

I have a 310B with power steering, definitely rare up here in Maine.

Did not know that the front grill pieces are available. Anyone know where I can get the mesh grill pieces for my square nose?

ED

Glenn, I assume you are speaking of the round nose 300. The GP version was made in 56-57 and they also made the 350 in 57. 34.2 hp on the 300 and the 350 was kicked up to 42 which made it a better little tractor. We had a 300 and it was a great little tractor. Very few I ever seen had power steering and the diesel version wasn't too common either. Would like to find a 350 some day to restore.

By saying 300 you are talking about a tractor series. Models within the series differ. The 301 was diesel, any of the gas tractors (310,311,312) could have been either gas or LPG.

Tripple range was an option.

Live PTO (not really live) was a function of optional hand clutch for ground travel. These tractors would have both a hand & foot clutch.

Power steering was an option, front mounted cylinder on the Utility (310) and Char-Lynn torque generator on the General Purpose (311 & others). Steering pump could either be engine mounted driven off the cam gear or separately mounted belt driven.
