My neighbor has a Case CA and the carb is leaking fuel. It looks like there could be two brands of carb that could be on the tractor. One shows a TSX number (Marvel Schebler ?) and the other just a sreies of numbers. Is there a way to tell which carb is on the tractor without removing it ?

I'd like to get the kit before I take it apart, as it is a tractor that she uses regularly.

Thanks

Greg

I don't know of a Case model CA. Could it not be a one of the VA series?

Pix is of the most common factory carb on the VA series, MS TSX 114 (note the location of the ID tag). Could also be a MS TSX 597 from the factory, outward appearance is the same as the pix.

The "series of number" factory carb would be a Zenith 161JX7 outline 11106 or outline 11506. The Zenith carb doesn't look like this pix.

Old tractors often have carbs that depart from original factory spec. You just have to find a nr and do some research.

If it is just leaking and otherwise runs the engine OK, you probably just need a basic carb kit consisting of inlet valve, seat and gaskets. Check float is OK and set @ 1/4" with gasket in place.

Napa often carries the parts you need.

Greg, Had my carb off the 50 model today and got a kit for it. It has marvel Sherbler stamped in the outside edge of the top flange. Mine is a tsx 114. The kit was $16.54. Haven't got it in yet.

Have a good one.
