Son purchased 1944 SC Case with brass brake pedals. What is the reason for the brass pedals, do we have something rare here that we don't know about. Any information about this tractor and cost would be greatly appreciated.

Tractor been repainted, looks really good.

Thanks for input.

I think they were only put on some of the 1944 models. I've only heard theories as to why they were used. The pedals are "bronze" and not "brass" aren't they?

I have a 1944 "S" with the brass brake pedals. When I restored it, I polished the pedals and clear coated them... Gene

We also have a 44 S and 4__44SC-s none of which were brass either. They were added lated or special order from Case It "IS" hard to tell as Case was known at the time to design the tractor to the small farmer special orders were common and Case tried to please all it's costomers. After all ther was a war going (WW2)on at the time and girls were running the show.....
