The 1452 PN was wrong for the oil, 1101 is the right one. I will try to get a pic of the hyrdo filter posted tonight. It is a Marvel filter and it is crushed from being clogged and sucked tight. There is no number on it that I can see. It is about 4.25" long with about a 1" male thread on one end, about 2.5" around, just a metal screen, no case. Any ideas on part number for the hyrdo filter??? Thanks,
Ed

Look at a Hastings #HF726,Case G13113,Hough 185531H1, IHC 884879C1 or Marvel 3232-5125.
The Hastings gasket # is GS309. This should be correct but not certain.

The 1517 that NAPA ordered was very close but I need one that actually threads in. Their filter did not have threads.

That looks like a cleanable suction strainer, 25 micron or so.

Consider cleaning it up, punch some holes that will end up on the top when it is screwed in tight. That will provide some protection in trapping some of the large particles like tank scale.

I install a spin-on return filter on all my hydraulic systems even if it has a suction strainer or filter. Generally buy them at the link or local hydraulic supply.

Forgot to mention that the other side of the filter is crushed in with the top and bottom parts of the screen actually pulled out of the glue that holds them into the end caps. I tried to pull pop out the crushed in section but it VERY tough steel and the screen is fairly brittle. I am going to go the for the return line filter. Thanks for the link, didn't even think of Northern Tools. There is a hyrdaulics only place in town that I will check with tomorrow morning (they work on skidders, loggint equip, etc) and I will check with them for the filter just in case.

Thanks for the replies Joe,
Ed

For the engine oil filter, Napa 1104 is also suitable & more likely on the shelf in my area.

If they have both, compare the dia of the can & buy the smaller one. Won't interfere so much with that #$%^& distributor cap clamp on that side.
